Bugeja. Larval hostplant unknown. Not shown to be endangered.

Astraeus crassus

A large species in a genus which is confined to Australia and some Pacific islands. This species occurs near Sydney and along riverine habitats in the Hunter Valley. The adults are found on Allocasuarina littoralis and Allocasuarina cunninghami, though more usually on the former, and where they appear to behave territorially. Adults can be found on the same Allocasuarina trees season after season, but not on other trees in the same area. The larve feed within Bursaria (pers. comm. T. J. Hawkeswood). Not shown to be endangered.
